SECTION 331

Pushing a Giant Baseball Up a Hill and Watching It Roll Back Down Since 2008

It’s a dark and stormy morning…

And there will be no Mariners baseball tonight. The next best thing? Well, I guess the Tacoma Rainiers have some sort of championship race going on down in Tac today. Crazy kids. So my friends Brandon,  and Jessica and their son Orion and I are all going to head down and see if Gaby Hernandez and Co. can’t put the smack down on the Sky Sox. There will be blankets! And I will wear socks! And my 3XL (long story) fisherman’s rain jacket (if I can fit it into the seat). We got E-tickets online last night, and the “best” seats we could get were way over in section A over the 3rd baseline, so it looks like tickets for the covered seats are going rather fast, as usually I can get somewhere in the middle for most other games. Yesterday’s game was heavy on the rain delay.

If the Mariners can’t give me playoffs, I get mini-playoffs; and that’s not too shabby.

I also heard something about Luke French going somewhere and Brandon Morrow coming up, but nothing’s 100% right now, it looks like. And we have to play both Texas and the Angels this week. And Ian Snell has to go up against Jered Weaver. Guess I’ll put my Big Boy Boots on, because there may be a slaughter…
