It’s old information by a few days now, but it looks like Eddie Guardado has decided to keep throwing – only he’ll likely be doing it in Washington, DC for the Nationals. Another former Mariner, RA Dickey, has cut a deal with the New York Mets. Both players have careers that are winding down, but both players once wore blue and teal, so I wish them nothing but luck and success.
Before I try giving sleep a shot tonight, I figured I’d take a second to wish everyone and their loved ones a Merry Whatever-You-Celebrate on December 25th. May it be a good one. I will most certainly not be around internet for a while (or, at the very least, will have limited access), so I’m hoping that the Mariners family takes a break, too; no more trades over the next few days, alright, guys?
I got this in email a few days ago, Ichiro’s walk-off against Mariano Rivera, and some holiday wishes from the organization; I’m sure others got it too, but I’m posting it here just in case, because who doesn’t want to watch that over and over again?*
HAPPY HOLIDAYS, EVERYONE!

*Oh, yeah…maybe Yankees fans.

I’ve watched this clip of Ichiro many times, and it never gets old. Looking forward to watching the M’s in 2010!
