I am a little bummed I missed Vargas – I hear he manned the Twitter account for a short time, too.
I gave a brief thought to writing something in the book, but it caught me so off guard that I couldn’t think of anything coherent or really good to say. I didn’t want to write something half-assed, and I figured there were probably others far more eloquent than me.
Had a good chat with you guys. I’m going to try to make it to at least one game at Cheney this year. I really do want to see the new stadium and I miss the small atmosphere of the Rainiers games.

And I have to add that without his ball cap and game face, Brandon League looks even more like Dante Basco (as Rufio) than ever.

First thing we saw was Vargas and Montero, and I asked Jason a question about being one of the more experienced pitchers on a young staff. Also saw the big 3 pitching prospects, as well as Wedge and Trader Jack. Walker’s mom has to be really proud of her son. Think that the funniest group had to be League and Wells – what a contrast in hair styles!

Wondered around a bit and saw the memorial to Greg Halman. It was sad, but I appreciated the chance to leave a short note for his family in a book that they had for fans to sign (nice touch). Also checked out the statue of Dave for the first time in person – really nice job!

Picked up a new ball cap (like I really needed another one) and Cindy got a retro M’s t-shirt. Tried some food and a couple of beers in the Pen, and enjoyed some conversation with Seattle’s most famous goth baseball blogger! Maybe next time we’ll have time for a quick stop at Hooverville.
