ALCS deserves ink

OK, I need to do this before I forget.

Last year, when excitement was starting to brew about the new front office and lineup, a lot of people were taking a look at the AL West and giving the Mariners a nice secure third place. Geoff Baker upped the ante a little bit by saying that it might even be possible for them to come in second. I had stated here that if the Ms did manage to come in second place in 2009, that I would get a compass logo tattoo, permanently declaring my allegiance (and also, I’m way overdue for some work anyway). They came pretty close to that prediction.

This year, there are a lot of people (fans, mainly) saying we’re going to the World Series. There is serious talk of winning the AL West this year, with a weakened Anaheim team to face. I’m not going to get as optimistic as the World Series, but I do believe in my team, so here’s the deal; if the Mariners make it to the ALCS playoffs, a compass tat for me. Deal, guys? As always, it’s up to you…

If I were ever to get Mariners ink, I think I’d go with the retro trident logo.

See, that did come up in my thought process – but I really like the baseball in the compass thing. I do like the trident, but if I remember correctly, my thinking was that the compass would be more in line with when I started following the team. Also, there is lots of opportunity for cool shading (I know a really good artist). 😀

So does that mean you’ll get 2 compass tattoos if the M’s get to the World Series?

    Ai caramba! 🙂

Don’t give me any ideas! haha!
