Well, this ain’t right…

Entering into the Mariners timeline when I did, I guess I haven’t had the chance to really get into some players that have come and gone over the last 3 seasons. It was a shock to see JJ Putz in a Mets uniform, and trust and believe that my little heart hurt for about a month over that loss. Hearing about a trade is one thing, but seeing the reality is just…it’s like having a giant bucket of icy water poured on you. Because in my head, even though I knew Putz was gone, he still sort of wasn’t, if that makes any sense; until I saw that photo. Sean Green and Jeremy Reed were a little easier to take, but it still looked wrong. Especially on Green.

Seeing Raul Ibanez in a Phillies uniform looked a little odd, but because I knew that the situation was for the better for everyone, that Phillies uni looked pretty good on Raul – and everything turned out pretty swell for all parties involved – we got better in left field, Raul goes to the World Series; not too shabby!

Orioles orange looked weird on Adam Jones and George Sherrill, but Royals blue seemed to fit Yuniesky Betancourt and Willie Bloomquist just fine – and I even liked Bloomquist.

Hearing about Adrian Beltre signing with the Boston Red Sox was one thing. Knowing for the past few months that something was going to happen, that he would most likely not be here in 2010  kind of cushioned the blow. But last night, someone threw a giant bucket of icy water on me:

I know what you mean, and reading Red’s post about Adrian on Lookout Landing was tough. 😦

It would have been nice to have Adrian for another year, but I hope he has a good season in Boston (except when playing the M’s) and is able to get a good long-term contract. He was fun to watch, and his defense was stunningly good.

At least we’ll get to see him on Seattle soil like 7 times this year. 🙂

I hope he has an MVP year, Opts not to excersizes his 2nd year of the contract.

The Signs with a NL Team.

I dunno why….but if a Mariner has to leave the team, when they end up in the NL, I just feel overall happier about them leaving.

Thanks again for pointing out the FanPost on LL…I only look there once a week, and I would never have gotten that tickets….

    I owe ya big time.

Minimum I plan on Giving ya 2 tickets in some seats I share in Section 325….

AND..the lady who I got the ticket to the event, she gave it to me for free……
(I parked by Int’l district station for free, then took the bus tunnel for free)
So my whole event was free.
So it couldnt have worked out better.

And I am really grateful, so I will probably either give ya a couple pairs of the Section 325 for a couple games, or if ya want lower level seats instead I can just give ya one of those games I have extra. Or if ya want single ticket to more games…let me know

Basically I’ll let ya know once I figure out which games and seat locations I end up with.

Wow, Craig, that’s really nice of you. 🙂
You let me know what you’re willing to part with when the time comes, I’ll be happy to take you up on it – unless some money falls out of the sky, I won’t be seeing many games this year. 🙂

Where did you wind up sitting today?
