I was at last night’s game, but haven’t had the time to write about it. Took some photos, but don’t know if I have the stomach to upload them. Was going to do Fridays at SafeCo earlier, but that, too, seemed a bit useless. Tonight’s game was heartbreaking. There were good bits of it (Brandon League was fun to watch for a little while, as was Kanekoa Texeira), but getting swept by the Rays and now losing this game tonight 8-0 on a Felix Day…I don’t know…

I survived 2008 because I had a lot of newbie optimism. Eventually, that awful season just became a comedy routine, and I was able to laugh it off because things could only get better from there, right? Last year re-upped the optimism in a good way, this last offseason further pushed the happiness envelope, and now, this is what we’re left with as of today: 11-18.

You’re killing me, boys.

My next game to go to is this coming Sunday, and then I get a break from the live stuff for a while. This is probably a good thing both for my wallet and my mental health. I’ll watch all of these games, but I am getting the distinct impression I may not enjoy it.

For me, the bullpen (Big K-Huna) and Saunders were the only bright spots last night. The team seems to be in a funk, and I hope they can find a way to win at least one game during this series. Hopefully Fister can pitch well tonight, he has been pretty good so far this year.
