Just wanted to give folks a quick reminder that tonight at 6:05, the Everett AquaSox will be playing for the Northwest League Championship in Everett Memorial Stadium. There was plenty of room in the stands during last night’s game, so come out, pack the stands, and cheer on the Sox in their quest for the trophy against the Spokane Indians!
Last night’s game was won in dramatic, back-and-forth fashion, with Evan Sharpley rapping the eventual game-winning base hit in the seventh inning between two diving Indians infielders. Reliever Willy Kesler earned the win, and Tyler Burgoon got the save impressively once again. The AquaSox were in a must-win situation last night after falling in game one in Spokane on Thursday, and they fought tooth and nail to win last night. My full recap on the game is over at ProBall Northwest, so go check it out.
Another win tonight would secure Everett’s first NWL title since 1985, when they were the Everett Giants. Tonight will almost certainly be another dramatic game in a season that’s been full of them for the AquaSox, so make the drive up and support them! If you can’t make it, I’ll be there in the press box again, so you can follow my game updates on Twitter.
