I am undeniably jacked for tomorrow. I’m going to attempt to make it as early as possible, but would like to be securely in place for Felix Hernandez’s appearance during the Dugout Dialogue. Will also be trying to get tickets, and am hoping to get a good spot in the bleachers again.
The only thing I really wanted to share here today is something from the Dave Niehaus Memorial page on FaceBook. I have no verification on this from the Mariners organization, and to the best of my knowledge it has not been officially announced, but I thought it was interesting, so I’m posting it here. This is reportedly the uniform patch honoring Dave that is to be used during the 2011 season:
I had expected a small circular patch with his initials on it, like so many other teams have done in the past, but if this is what it is to be, I think it’s pretty slick. Keep in mind, I’m not talking about this like it’s fact – I’ve seen no verification yet, even after posting a link to it on Twitter last night – it was just something I found via blogger and Mariners fan Mike Barer. I’m sure opinions may differ, but I like it, and hope that they do plan to use it, either as a patch, or as some sort of sticker or something.
Happy Friday, everyone! Baseball is just around the corner!
