I was just reminded this morning that all might not be lost for 2011 Mariners baseball.
Over the course of last season, and thanks to Pat Dillon, Katie Crawford, and several other people with the organization, I came to feel that the AquaSox were “mine” just as much as I feel it for the Mariners. And watching guys who may be in the big club’s future win games can be just as brilliant and fun as watching a Mariners game – and really, if a good percentage of our blogosphere is looked at, some people actually prefer it. Plus, winning baseball!
I will likely be going to as many AquaSox games as I have time for this summer (and gas money – yikes!), and will of course talk about them all here. Rootbeer float night is just about a given, but Opening Day and Mariners days I may have to make happen (a lot of this may depend on my work schedule with the Saturdays and all), and Fleece Blanket night could also become a reality. And after talking to Katie about the Inflatamaniacs night, I might have to drag Tom – MegaMoose’s biggest fan – up north of a minor league game.
But here is the formal release for the promotional nights the AquaSox intend to set up for us this year:
