Still not the worst team in baseball

It’s a fact.

We had a house full of people over last night – Tom bought a smoker grill and wanted to try it out – and I had a bunch of errands to run after work, so I would up coming into the game late, and paying enough attention while chatting with friends to know that we weren’t going to win. Whatever it is that ails Doug Fister this year, I hope he fixes it soon. Jason Vargas seems to be digging his way out of his woes, but Fister hasn’t been great this year, and for whatever reason our offense just weren’t able to get their bats around Gavin Floyd.

Michael Saunders made a stellar jump at the wall during last night’s contest to rob AJ Pierzynski of a home run (much to my loudly-expressed delight), and if you didn’t see it, they put it on the highlight reel on GameDay. Milton Bradley’s awesome sliding catch at the left field corner is also in there, along with multiple clips of the White Sox lineup doing well, but we won’t go there today.

In about two hours, we attempt to take the series from the White Sox on this overcast Mother’s Day. I’ll be watching, will you?
