How do I see answered questions on IXL? ›

Scroll down to find the IXL accomplishments section. Here, you'll see an overview of the student's IXL usage (questions answered, time spent, skills practiced) and a breakdown of math and ELA skills they've worked on. Pro Tip: Hover over the pie chart to see how many skills have been practiced in each strand!

Students will need to answer as many as 10 questions correctly in a row to achieve mastery. For most skills on IXL, students will have to complete a minimum of 28 questions to earn a SmartScore of 100. When a student achieves a score of 100 on IXL, you can feel confident that they have truly mastered that skill.

Questions Log:

This report gives you the full log of the exact questions a student has answered for an individual skill. You'll see a student's SmartScore growth over time with the questions they've encountered and their answers during each skill practice session below.

IXL's diagnostic scores range from 0-1300 correspond to grade levels for easy interpretation. A diagnostic level increase of 100 reflects growth of approximately one grade level.

Depending on your student's grade level, it will take two, four, or six minutes of inactivity for the timer to pause. What exactly is the SmartScore? The SmartScore is based on IXL's proprietary algorithm and is the best possible measure of how well a student understands a skill.

It's calculated based on question difficulty, answer accuracy, and consistency. When your child is getting the hang of the concept, their SmartScore will increase, and their questions will get harder.

Unsuccessful, more stress than learn!

One student in particular struggled immensely and was on the verge of tears, unable to understand the material despite numerous attempts. The explanations provided were so brief they were almost useless, leaving students more confused than before.

An IXL Diagnostic level of 500 represents readiness to begin working on fifth-grade level skills. When a level is displayed as a circle with a star in it, your exact level has been revealed! Continue answering questions to pinpoint your overall levels, reading level, and exact level in every strand.

Is Khan Academy better than IXL? ›

IXL has a strong focus on math and language arts, while Khan Academy offers a wider range of subjects. Consider your learning style: If your child is a visual learner, then you may prefer Khan Academy's videos and articles. If your child is an auditory learner, then you may prefer IXL's games and quizzes.

Real-time student diagnostic data provides teachers with a personalized Recommendations Wall for each student, listing future skills to practice. IXL is a great tool to practice and reinforce topics.

Lack of Personalization: Another issue with IXL is its one-size-fits-all approach. It does not consider individual student needs or different learning styles. As a result, learners who require additional support or those who excel in certain areas may feel frustrated or unchallenged respectively.

To view or print the Diagnostic action plans, go to Analytics, and click Diagnostic. For the Diagnostic action plans for your entire roster, click the to the right of “Individual student levels and recommendations.”

Click the Reports tab. Sign in to your IXL account at www.ixl.com. IXL reports offer a winning combination of interactive data, powerful analytics, and easy-to-read graphs. Once your students have started practicing with IXL, the reports in your teacher account will automatically update with real-time data!

Using the Student Progress report

After selecting a student, the report will display one row for every skill that they've practiced. Skills are organized by subject, grade level, and category. For each skill, you can see how much time the student has spent and how many questions the student has answered.
